HEG Safe Brewery Cleaner — Alkaline Replacement
Brewery operations depend on equipment free from hop resins, proteins and carbohydrate deposits. HEG Safe Brewery Alkaline Cleaner removes organic buildup without caustic chemistry. This high-pH cleaner delivers thorough cleaning for fermenters, brite tanks, kettles and process lines.
Caustic cleaners such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide remove organic soils, but can corrode equipment and pose safety risks. Our alkaline brewery cleaner formulation eliminates those hazards. The brewery equipment cleaner deep cleans tanks, barrels, pipes and hoses.
This brewery cleaning formulation performs consistently across hard and soft water conditions and operators can handle the product safely. Follow with HEG Acid Replacement Safe Brewery Cleaner to remove beer stone and scale.
The brewery wash formulation maintains performance as a brewery cleaning solution during CIP cycles.

Use 1%–7% of HEG Safe Alkaline Brewery Cleaner per gallon of
water at 130°–170°F and circulate solution for 15–20 minutes
depending on the buildup. For heavy buildup removal use
4%–7% per gallon of water and circulate or allow to soak
overnight depending on the severity of the build-up. Percentages
may vary by the type of beer being brewed. Dilution rates and
heat will vary depending on the beer brewed and severity of the
buildup. Keep container closed when not in use.
Wear protective eye wear. In the event of eye contact rinse eyes with
water. Extended exposure or soaking in product may cause stinging in
open sores, cuts or around fingernails. Use of nitrile gloves is
suggested. Product at 100% concentration will attack aluminum. As
with any cleaners keep out of reach of children. For industrial use
