HEG Safe Brewery Cleaner — Acid Replacement
Brewery operations depend on equipment that remains free from beer stone, mineral scale and deposits that compromise production quality. HEG Acid Replacement Safe Brewery Cleaner removes calcium buildup, rust and scale that alkaline cleaners cannot eliminate. This low-pH brewery acid cleaner delivers thorough descaling for fermenters, brite tanks, kettles and process lines while protecting operators.
Beer stone forms when calcium oxalate and proteins precipitate onto stainless steel surfaces during fermentation. These deposits restrict heat transfer and reduce equipment efficiency. Our acidic brewery cleaner dissolves mineral scale, rust and other inorganic deposits during circulation cleaning cycles. This brewery descaler functions as Step 2 following alkaline wash products.
This acid CIP cleaner is ideal for washing fermenters, brite tanks, kettles, heat exchangers, barrels, pipes and hoses to remove beer stone, mineral scale and rust.

Use 1%–3% of HEG Acid Replacement Safe Brewery Cleaner
per gallon of water at 130°–170°F and circulate solution for
15–20 minutes depending on the buildup to remove any scale,
lime, beer stone or other deposits. Dilution rates and heat will
vary depending on the beer brewed and severity of the buildup.
Keep container closed when not in use.
Wear protective eye wear. In the event of eye contact rinse eyes with
water. Extended exposure or soaking in product may cause stinging in
open sores, cuts or around fingernails. Use of nitrile gloves is
suggested. Product at 100% concentration will attack concrete,
masonry, marble, aluminum, zinc and galvanized metal. When
cleaning aluminum, always dilute with water. As with any cleaners
